B i o g r a p h y
 (by Michael Hill)

Quentin Tarantino was born on March 27, 1963 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of a 16 year old nursing student Connie and a 21 year old law student and aspiring actor Tony. Connie named him after Burt Reynolds' Indian character, "Quint" on the 60s TV series Gunsmoke. When Quentin was 2, they moved to South Los Angeles which is where Quentin grew up. His mother took him to the cinema from an early age, he saw films like Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (which was a major inspiration), The Wild Bunch at age 6, Carnal Knowledge at age 8 and Deliverance at age 9. From these early introductions to cinema, Tarantino fell in love with the movies and went at every opportunity. At the age of 22, he landed a job at the Manhattan Beach Video Archives, a now defunct video rental store in Manhattan Beach, California where he and fellow movie buffs like Roger Avary spent all day watching, discussing and recommending films to customers. He made his first (unfinished) film in 1986, 'My Best Friend's Birthday', written with acting class friend Craig Hamann, and followed this up by writing his first script, 'True Romance' a year later. During this period, he was attending acting classes and put together a CV of his (non-existent) acting experience which included a role in Jean Luc Godard's 'King Lear' because nobody in Hollywood would have heard of the film or director and Dawn of the Dead by George A. Romero because he resembled a biker in one of the scenes. His role in 'King Lear' was actually listed in Leonard Maltin's video guide. By 1988, Tarantino had written his second script, Natural Born Killers and in 1990 he sold the script for True Romance for $50,000. He decided to use this money to make his third script, Reservoir Dogs on 16mm and in black and white with his friends in the leading roles. It was around this point that Tarantino left the video store to do rewrites for CineTel, a small Hollywood production company - it was at this time he met Lawrence Bender and struck lucky; Bender was attending acting classes with Peter Flood, who was divorced from acting teacher Lily Parker and knew Harvey Keitel from the Actors Studio. Keitel saw the script and was impressed enough to raise some more finance, act in the film and help Tarantino cast the main roles. At this point, producers Monte Hellman and Richard Gladstein also joined the project.

In 1991, Tarantino filmed some scenes at Sundance with him playing the role of Mr. White and Steve Buscemi playing Mr. Pink. These scenes were shown to various film people to comment on and the group containing Terry Gilliam were particularly impressed. Reservoir Dogs finally premiered at Sundance '92 before appearing at various film festivals around the World. Miramax picked the film up for distribution after Sundance and it was released in the US later in 1992 and in the UK on January 8 1993. Tarantino traveled around the various festivals in 1992 promoting his film and writing his next script, 'Pulp Fiction' which went on to win the Palme D'Or at Cannes in 1994. It finally opened amidst incredible hype and critical acclaim on October 14 in the US and October 21 in the UK. Pulp Fiction went on to become one of the most highly acclaimed movies of 1994, grossing over 100 million dollars worldwide and picking up several Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Actress, Best Editing, and winning an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. Riding on the success of Pulp Fiction, Tarantino has gone on to be a major Hollywood player, Producing, Distributing films through Miramax with an arm of the company called Rolling Thunder Pictures, Co-Directing and Co-Writing Four Rooms, an anthology-type feature film, Directing an episode of 'ER', a popular TV show, and making many appearances in movies and TV. After having already cooperated with Robert Rodriguez in 'Four Rooms', in 1996 the two of them realized Quentins old script From Dusk Till Dawn. Rodriguez directed. Apart from having written the screenplay he also co-produced and starred as Ritchie Gecko side by side with George Clooney. The movie was a big success and this also leaded to 2 sequels ('Texas Blood Money' and 'The Hangman's Daughter').

In 1996 he also appeared in the movie 'Girl 6', acting himself, Curdled where the 'Gecko Brothers' from 'Dusk' appear he was producing, he made some changes for 'The Rock' and appeared in Steven Spielberg's Director's Chair, a CD-Rom game. Being a fan and friend of the american top-seller author Elmore Leonard, in 1997 he decided to make the movie 'Jackie Brown' based upon Leonard's novel Rum Punch. After a few years of hiatus, he returned to the big screen in 2001 with his magnum opus Kill Bill, which turned out to be enough material for two movies, so it got split into Volume 1 and Volume 2, released about a year apart. The film rekindled a love for Asian and exploitation movies among consumers worldwide and became an instant classic. He also ventured a little into TV, directing the Season 5 finale of the popular crime show Crime Scene Investigation. That double episode, titled Grave Danger, got high ratings and featured many Tarantino signature tricks and interesting cameos. In 2007, he made Grindhouse together with his long time friend Robert Rodriguez. The double feature, a throwback to drive-in exploitation cinema, consisted of Death Proof, directed by Quentin, and Planet Terror, directed by Robert. The movie was hyped, but was financially insuccessful. Nevertheless, it gained a cult following and just like Kill Bill, it led to re-releases of old exploitation films. The Grindhouse style has since been numerously replicated in low budget movies and commercials. Rodriguez has since turned one of the fake trailers included in Grindhouse into a feature film, Machete.

Tarantino has talked about a war movie for many many years, but not until 2008 did any of those rumors come together, when he announced that he had in fact finally finished a script for Inglourious Basterds, a massive war epic inspired by European cinema of the pre-war period and the Italian war movie genre, the Macaroni Combat films of the 60s and 70s. The movie went into production that same year, starring Brad Pitt in the leading role. It was a huge international success and gathered quite a few awards. In 2011, Tarantino announced the completion of his latest script, a movie about Slavery in the old US south of the 1860s, titled Django Unchained. Production started in late fall of 2011, and the movie is slated for a release on Christmas Day 2012. The movie has attracted enormous attention, especially because it stars Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz, who won an Oscar for his role in Inglourious Basterds, and whose career has since gone through the roof.

Ouga Chaka ouga! ....

Lips as sweet as candy.
Their taste stays on my mind.
Girl, you keep me thirsty for another cup of wine.

I got it bad for you girl,
But I don't need a cure,
I'll just stay addicted, If I can endure
All the good love, when we're all alone
Keep it up girl, yeah you turn me on.

Magic Carpet Ride

(Bedlam)

I like to dream
Yes yes right between the sound machine
On a cloud of sight I drift in the night
Any place it goes is right
Goes far, flies near, to the stars away from here
You don't know what we could find
Why don't you come with me little girl on a magic carpet ride
You don't know what we could see
Why don't you tell your dreams to me, fantasy will set you free
Close your eyes girl, look inside girl, let the sound take you away
Last night I held Aladdin's lamp, so I wished that I could stay
Before the thing could answer me well someone took, took the lamp away
I looked around a lousy can was all I found
You don't know what we could find
Why don't you come with me little girl on a magic carpet ride
You don't know what we could see
Why don't you tell your dreams to me, fantasy will set you free
Close your eyes girl, look inside girl, let the sound take you away
You don't know what we could find
Why don't you come with me little girl on a magic carpet ride
You don't know what we could see
Why don't you tell your dreams to me, fantasy will set you free
You don't know what we could find
Why don't you come with me little girl on a magic carpet ride
You don't know what we could see
Why don't you tell your dreams to me, fantasy will set you free
You don't know what, you don't know what, you don't know what ...

Madonna Speech

 (Dialogue)

MR. BROWN
What the fuck was I talking about ?

MR. ORANGE
You said "True Blue" was about a guy, you said it's a girl who meets a nice guy
But "Like a Virgin" was a metaphor for big dicks.

MR. BROWN
Ok, let me tell ya what "Like a Virgin"'s about.
It's all about this cooze who's a regular fuck machine.
I'm talking, morning, day,night, afternoon,
Dick, dick, dick, dick, dick, dick, dick, dick, dick.

MR. BLUE
How many dicks is that?

MR. WHITE
A lot.

MR. BROWN
Then one day she meets a John Holmes motherfucker, and it's like, whoa baby.
I mean, this cat is like Charles Bronson in "The Great Escape." He's diggin tunnels.
Now she's gettin this serious dick action,
She's feelin something she ain't felt since forever. Pain. Pain

JOE
Chew? Toby Chew? No.

MR. BROWN
It hurts. It hurts her. It shouldn't hurt.
You know, her pussy should be Bubble-Yum by now.
But when this cat fucks her, it hurts. It hurts like it did the first time.
You see the pain is reminding a fuck machine what is once like to be a virgin.
Hence, "Like a Virgin."

Fool for love

 (Sandy Rogers)

He was born a fool for love
What he would'nt do for love
He's a fool, a fool for love

She was six and he was seven
Used to send him off to heaven
When she said, you are my sunshine
The part he always liked the best
When she teased him with a kiss
And she said you make me happy

You're a fool for love
What he wouldn't do for love
He's a fool, fool for love
Born a fool, you got to
Follow the rule, always a fool
A fool for love

He grew up he didn't get much better
Tattooed underneath his sweater
L.o.v.e in blue
Seems he was never satisfied
Chasing girls like butterflies
Believin' every word they said was true

He's a fool for love
What he wouldn't do for love
He's a fool, a fool for love
Once a fool, you got to
Follow the rule, always a fool
A fool for love

Last time I saw him alive
He was standin' up on the bride's side
Yelling his objections at the groom
The blushing bride was my bestfriend
She turned around and to him said
Yes you were my only sunshine then

You're a fool for love
What he wouldn't do for love
He's a fool, a fool for love
Born a fool, you got to
Follow the rule, always a fool
A fool for love

He's a fool, fool for love
He's a fool, fool for love
Fool for love, he's a fool
Fool for love, he's a fool for love
Fool for love

Stuck in the middle with you

(Stealers Wheel)

Well I don't know why I came here tonight,
I got the feeling that something ain't right,
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair,
And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs,
Clowns to the left of me,
Jokers to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you.

Yes I'm stuck in the middle with you,
And I'm wondering what it is I should do,
It's so hard to keep this smile from my face,
Losing control, yeah, I'm all over the place,
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.

Well you started out with nothing,
And you're proud that you're a self made man,
And your friends, they all come crawlin,
Slap you on the back and say,
Please.... Please.....

Trying to make some sense of it all,
But I can see that it makes no sense at all,
Is it cool to go to sleep on the floor,
'Cause I don't think that I can take anymore
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.

Well you started out with nothing,
And you're proud that you're a self made man,
And your friends, they all come crawlin,
Slap you on the back and say,

Harvest Moon

(Bedlam)

How long can we live this way?
How long 'till the rain starts coming down?
Everyone here's been wondering
When will it be over?

I hear the night train every evening
Maybe change is coming soon
With the harvest moon

Take me down to the river
Take me to the preacher-man
I can't wait any longer
I messed up all I can

I hear the night train singing in the distance
Maybe the angels are coming soon
With the harvest moon

If the river's rising
Look to the dark horizon
For the harvest moon, yeah

Wait a minute, just a little bit longer
It's all up to me and you

Wait a minute, just a little bit longer
It's all up to me and you

Wait a minute,  just a little bit longer
It's all up to me and you ...

Let's get a taco

 (Dialogue)

FREDDY
What happens if the manager won't give up the diamonds?

MR. WHITE
When you're dealing with a store like this, they're insured up the
ass. They're not supposed to give you any resistance whatsoever. If you get a
customer or an employee who thinks he's Charles Bronson, take the butt of your
gun and smash their nose in. Drops 'em right to the floor. Everyone jumps, he
falls down, screaming, blood squirts out of his nose. Freaks everybody out.
Nobody says fuckin' shit after that. You might get some bitch talk shit to ya.
But give her a look, like you're gonna smash her in the face next. Watch her
shut the fuck up. Now if it's a manager, that's a different story. The
managers know better than to fuck around. So if one's givin' you static, he
probably thinks he's a real cowboy. So what you gotta do is break that son-of-
a-bitch in two. If you wanna know something he won't tell you, cut off one of
his fingers. The little one. Then tell 'im his thumb's next. After that he'll
tell ya if he wears ladies underwear. - [Pause] - I'm hungry, let's get a taco.

His sister had another one, she paid it for a lime.
She put the lime in the coconut, she drank them both up
She put the lime in the coconut, she drank them both up
She put the lime in the coconut, she drank them both up
She put the lime in the coconut, she called the doctor, woke him up,

I say, Doctor, ain't there nothin' I can take,

Put the lime in the coconut, you drank them both up
Put the lime in the coconut, you drank them both up
Put the lime in the coconut, you called your doctor, woke him up,

I say, Doctor, doctor, ain't there nothin' I can take,
I say, Doctor, dooooctor, to relieve this belly ache?'

Put the lime in the coconut, drink them both together,
Put the lime in the coconut, then you feel better,
Put the lime in the coconut, drink them both up,
Put the lime in the coconut, and call me in the morning

Wouh wouh wouh wouh wouh ....

Brother bought a coconut, he bought it for a dime

Royale with cheese

(Dialogue)

JULES
Okay so, tell me again about the hash bars.

VINCENT

Okey what do you want to know?

JULES
Well, hash is legal over there, right?

VINCENT
Yeah,It's legal but it ain't hundred percent legal, I mean, you just can't walk into a restaurant,
roll a joint and start puffin' away. They want you to smoke in your home or certain designated places.

JULES
And those are the hash bars?

VINCENT
Yeah, It breaks down like this, ok, it's legal to buy it, it's legal to own it,
And if you're the proprietor of a hash bar, it's legal to sell it.
It's legal to carry it, but...but that dosen't matter, 'cause, get a load of this; all right,
If you get stopped by a cop in Amsterdam, it's illegal for them to search you.
I mean that's a right the cops in Amsterdam don't have.

JULES

Oh, man, I'm goin', that's all there is to it. I'm fuckin' goin'.

VINCENT

I know, baby, you'd dig it the most.. But you know what the funniest thing about Europe is?

JULES

What?

VINCENT
It's the little differences. A lotta the same shit we got here,
they got there, but there they're a little different.

JULES
Example ?

VINCENT

Alright, when you .... into a movie theatre in Amsterdam, you can buy beer.
And I don't mean in a paper cup either. They give you a glass of beer
And in Paris, you can buy beer at MacDonald's.
And you know what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?

JULES
They don't call it a Quarter Pounder with Cheese?

VINCENT
No, they got the metric system there, they wouldn't know what the fuck a Quarter Pounder is.

JULES

What'd they call it?

VINCENT

They call it Royale with Cheese.

JULES

Royale with Cheese. What'd they call a Big Mac?

VINCENT
Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it Le Big Mac.

JULES
Le big Mac ! Ahhaha, what do they call a Whopper?

VINCENT

I dunno, I didn't go into a Burger King.
But you know what they put on french fries in Holland instead of ketchup?

JULES
What?

VINCENT
Mayonnaise.

JULES
Goddamn!

VINCENT
I seen 'em do it man, they fuckin' drown 'em in it.

JULES

Uuccch!

Let's stay together

 (Al Green)

I, I'm so in love with you
Whatever you want to do
Is all right with me
'Cause you make me feel so brand new
And I want to spend my life with you

Since, since we've been together
Loving you forever
Is what I need
Let me be the one you come running to
I'll never be untrue

Let's, let's stay together
Lovin' you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad

Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad

Why, why some people break up
Then turn around and make up
I just can't see
You'd never do that to me (would you, baby)
Staying around you is all I see
(Here's what I want us to do)

Coda (repeat to fade):
Let's, we oughta stay together
Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad

Lonesome Town

(Ricky Nelson)

There's a place where lovers go
To cry their troubles away
And they call it Lonesome Town
Where the broken hearts stay
[Lonesome town]

You can buy a dream or two,
To last you all through the years
And the only price you pay
Is a heart full of tears
[Full of tears]

Goin' down to lonesome town,
Where the broken hearts stay,
Goin' down to lonesome town
To cry my troubles away.

In the town of broken dreams,
The streets are filled with regret,
Maybe down in lonesome town,
I can learn to forget.
[To forget]

Maybe down in lonesome town,
I can learn to forget,
[Lonesome town]

Son Of A Preacher Man

 (Dusty Springfield)

Billy-Ray was a Preacher's son,
And when his daddy would visit he'd come along,
When they gathered round and started talking,
Cousin Billy would take me walking,
Through the back yard we'd go walking,
Then he'd look into my eyes,
Lord knows to my suprise:

The only one who could ever reach me,
Was the son of a preacher man,
The only boy who could ever teach me,
Was the son of a preacher man,
Yes he was, he was, oh yes he was.

Being good isn't always easy,
No matter how hard I tried,
When he started sweet talking to me,
he'd come tell me everything is alright,
he'd kiss and tell me everything is alright,
Can I get away again tonight?.

The only one who could ever reach me,
Was the son of a preacher man,
The only boy who could ever teach me,
Was the son of a preacher man,
Yes he was, he was, oh yes he was.

How well I remember,
The look that was in his eyes,
Stealing kisses from me on the sly,
Taking time to make time,
Telling me that he's all mine,
Learning from each others knowing,
Looking to see how much we'd grown.

The only one who could ever reach me,
Was the son of a preacher man,
The only boy who could ever teach me,
Was the son of a preacher man,
Yes he was, he was, oh yes he was.

You Never Can Tell

 (Chuck Berry)

It was a teenage wedding, and the old folks wished them well
You could see that Pierre did truly love the mademoiselle
And now the young monsieur and madame have rung the chapel bell,
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

They furnished off an apartment with a two room Roebuck sale
The coolerator was crammed with TV dinners and ginger ale,
But when Pierre found work, the little money comin' worked out well
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

They had a hi-fi phono, boy, did they let it blast
Seven hundred little records, all rock, rhythm and jazz
But when the sun went down, the rapid tempo of the music fell
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

They bought a souped-up jitney, 'twas a cherry red '53,
They drove it down to Orleans to celebrate the anniversary
It was there that Pierre was married to the lovely mademoiselle
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

It had a teenage wedding, and the old folks wished them well
You could see that Pierre did truly love the mademoiselle
And now the young monsieur and madame have rung the chapel bell,
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon

(Urge Overkill)

Girl, you'll be a woman soon

I love you so much, can't count all the ways
I'd die for you girl, and all they can say is
"He's not your kind"
They never get tired of puttin' me down
And I never know when I come around
What I'm gonna find
Don't let them make up your mind
Don't you know

Girl, you'll be a woman soon
Please come take my hand
Girl, you'll be a woman soon
Soon you'll need a man

I've been misunderstood for all of my life
But what they're sayin', girl, just cuts like a knife
"The boy's no good"
Well, I finally found what I've been looking for
But if they get the chance, they'll end it for sure
Sure they would
Baby, I've done all I could
Now it's up to you

Girl, you'll be a woman soon
Please come take my hand
Girl, you'll be a woman soon
Soon you'll need a man

Girl, you'll be a woman soon
Please come take my hand
Girl, you'll be a woman soon
Soon, but soon you'll need a man

If Love Is A Red Dress (Hang Me In Rags)

(Maria McKee)

My heart is empty.
Your eyes are dull..
Once we were hungry,
Now we are full.
These chains that bind us,
Can't beat these chains.
If love is shelter,
I'm gonna walk in the rain.

You were my angel.
Now, you are real.
So like a stranger,
Colder than steel.
The morning after,
You know what you bring.
If love is a red dress,
Well, hang me in rags.

Away.
There goes the fairy tale.
Lord, ain't it a shame?
In all this comfort,
I can't take the strain.

If we played even,
I'd be your queen.
But someone was cheatin'.
And it wasn't me.
I've laid it on the table,
You had something back.
If love is Aces,
Give me the Jack.

Flowers on the wall

(The Statler Brothers)

I keep hearin' you're concerned about my happiness
But all that thought you're givin' me is conscience I guess
If I was walkin' in your shoes, I wouldn't worry none
While you 'n' your friends are worried about me I'm havin' lots of fun

Countin' flowers on the wall
That don't bother me at all
Playin' solitaire 'till dawn with a deck of fifty-one
Smokin' cigarettes and watchin' Captain Kangaroo
Now don't tell me I've nothin' to do

Last night I dressed in tails, pretended I was on the town
As long as I can dream it's hard to slow this swinger down
So please don't give a thought to me, I'm really doin' fine
You can always find me here, I'm havin' quite a time

Countin' flowers on the wall
That don't bother me at all
Playin' solitaire till dawn with a deck of fifty-one
Smokin' cigarettes and watchin' Captain Kangaroo
Now don't tell me I've nothin' to do

It's good to see you, I must go, I know I look a fright
Anyway my eyes are not accustomed to this light
And my shoes are not accustomed to this hard concrete
So I must go back to my room and make my day complete

Countin' flowers on the wall
That don't bother me at all
Playin' solitaire till dawn with a deck of fifty-one
Smokin' cigarettes and watchin' Captain Kangaroo
Now don't tell me I've nothin' to do

Don't tell me I've nothin' to do

Personality goes a long way

(Dialogue)

VINCENT
You want some bacon?

JULES
No, man, I don't eat pork.

VINCENT
Are you Jewish ?

JULES
No, I ain't Jewish, i just don't dig on swine, that's all.

VINCENT
Why not?

JULES
Pigs are filthy animals. I don't eat filthy animals.

VINCENT
But bacon tastes good, pork chops taste good...

JULES
Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie,
But I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy motherfuckers.
Pigs sleep and root in shit, that's a filthy animal.
I don't eat nothin' that ain't got sense enough to disregard its own feces.

VINCENT
How about a dog? A dog eats its own feces

JULES
I don't eat dog either

VINCENT
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal?

JULES
I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy, but it's definately dirty.
But, dogs got personality, personality goes a long way.

VINCENT
So by that rationale, if a pig had a better personality, he would cease to be a filty animal. Is that true?

JULES
We' have to be talkin' 'bout one charmin' motherfuckin' pig.
I mean he'd have to be ten times more charmin' than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I'm sayin'?

Ezekiel 25:17

(Dialogue)

Ezekiel 25:17
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides
By the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will,
Shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness,
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger
Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

Across 110th Street

 (Bobby Womack)

I was the third brother of five,
Doing whatever I had to do to survive.
I'm not saying what I did was alright,
Trying to break out of the ghetto was a day to day fight.

Been down so long, getting up didn't cross my mind,
I knew there was a better way of life that I was just trying to find.
You don't know what you'll do until you're put under pressure,
Across 110th Street is a hell of a tester.

Across 110th Street,
Pimps trying to catch a woman that's weak
Across 110th Street,
Pushers won't let the junkie go free.
Across 110th Street,
Woman trying to catch a trick on the street.
Across 110th Street,
You can find it all in the street.

Woooooh oooh-oooh ah

I got one more thing I'd like to y'all about right now.
Hey brother, there's a better way out.
Snorting that coke, shooting that dope man you're copping out.
Take my advice, it's either live or die.
You've got to be strong, if you want to survive.

The family on the other side of town,
Would catch hell without a ghetto around.
In every city you find the same thing going down,
Harlem is the capital of every ghetto town.

Across 110th Street,
Pimps trying to catch a woman that's weak
Across 110th Street,
Pushers won't let the junkie go free.
Across 110th Street,
A woman trying to catch a trick on the street, ouh baby
Across 110th Street,
You can find it all in the street.
Yes he can, oh

Look around you, just look around you,
Look around you, look around you, uh yeah.

Beaumont's Lament

 (Dialogue)

Louis:

"Who's that?"

Ordell:
"That's Beaumont."

Louis:
"Who's Beaumont?"

Ordell:
"Oh, an employee I had to let go."

Louis:
"What'd he do?"

Ordell:
"He put himself in the position where he was going to have to do ten years in prison,
that's what he did. If you know Beaumont, you know there ain't no goddamn way he gonna do ten years.
And if you know that, you know that Beaumont is gonna do anything
Beaumont can to keep from doing them ten years,
including telling the federal government any, and every motherfucking thing about my black ass.
Now that, my friend, is a clear cut case of him or me, and you best believe, it ain't gonna be me.

Strawberry letter 23

 (Brothers Johnson)

Hello, my love
I heard a kiss from you
Red magic satin playing near, too

All through the morning rain
I gaze - the sun doesn't shine -
Rainbows and waterfalls run through my mind

In the garden - I see west
Purple shower, bells and tea
Orange birds and river cousins dressed in green

Pretty music I hear - so happy
And loud - blue flower echo
From a cherry cloud

Feel sunshine sparkle pink and blue
Playgrounds will laugh
if you try to ask
Is it cool?, is it cool?

If you arrive and don't see me
I'm going to be with my baby
I am free - flying in her arms, over the sea

Stained window, yellow candy screen
See speakers of kite - with velvet roses diggin' freedom flight

A present from you - Strawberry letter 22
The music plays, I sit in for a few

Ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...

A present from you - Strawberry letter 22
The music plays, I sit in for a few

Ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...

Melanie, Simone, and Sheronda

(Dialogue)

Louis:
"But I mean, what, what is she to you?"

Ordell:
"You know, she just one of the bitches I got set up. I got Mel over in Hermosa Beach,
and I rent this little place for Simone over in Compton where you stayin,
and about four blocks away, I got this young 19 year old country girl named Sheronda.
I found her at the bus stop two days outta Georgia, barefoot and country as a chicken coop.
Took her to my place in Compton, told her it was Hollywood.

Louis:
"You told her...she believed you?"

Ordell:
"Hell yeah, to her dumb country ass, Compton is Hollywood, closest she ever been anyway."

Who Is He (And What Is He To You?)

 (Bill Withers)

A man we passed just tried to stare me down
And when I looked at you, you looked at the ground
I don't know who he is but I think that you do

Dag gummit dag
Who is he and what is he to you

I have something in my heart and in your eyes
Tell me he's not someone just passin' by
And when you cleared your throat was that your cue

Dag gummit dag
Who is he and what is he to you

Now when I add the sum of you and me
I get confused and I keep coming up with three
You're too much for one man but not enough for two

Dag gummit dag
Who is he and what is he to you

Hey you tell me man don't have not much for intuition
That what you really think or are you wishin'
Before you wreck your old home be certain of the new

Dag gummit dag
Who is he and what is he to you

Dag gummit dag
Who is he and what is he to you

Dag gummit dag
Who is he and what is he to you

Dag gummit dag
Who is he and what is he to you

Tennessee Stud

(Johnny Cash)

Back about eighteen and twenty-five
I left Tennessee very much alive
I never would've made it through the Arkansas mud
If I hadn't been riding on the Tennessee Stud

Had some trouble with my sweetheart's Pa
One of her brothers was a bad outlaw
I wrote a letter to my Uncle Fudd
And I rode away on the Tennessee Stud

The Tennessee Stud was long and lean
The color of the sun and his eyes were green
He had the nerve and he had the blood
There never was a horse like Tennessee Stud

Drifted on down into no man's land
Across the river called the Rio Grande
Raced my horse with the Spaniard's foe
Til I got me a skin full of silver and gold

Me and the gambler, we couldn't agree
We got in a fight over Tennessee
Pulled our guns and he fell with a thud
And I rode away on a Tennessee Stud

The Tennessee Stud was long and lean
The color of the sun and his eyes were green
He had the nerve and he had the blood
There never was a horse like Tennessee Stud

I rode right back across Arkansas
I whupped her brother and I whupped her Pa
I found that girl with the golden hair
She was riding on a Tennessee Mare

Pretty little baby on the cabin floor
Little horse colt playing round the door
I loved the girl with the golden hair
And the Tennessee Stud loves the Tennessee Mare

The Tennessee Stud was long and lean
The color of the sun and his eyes were green
He had the nerve and he had the blood
There never was a horse like Tennessee Stud

Natural High

 (Bloodstone)

Why do I keep my mind on you all the time
And I don't even know you

Why do I feel this way
Thinking about you every day
And I don't even know you

Take me in your arms
Thrill me with all of your charms

And I'll take to the sky on a natural high
(I want to take to the sky)
Loving you more 'till the day I die
(On the natural high)
Take to the sky on a natural high
(I want you to be mine)
Loving you more.

If you have anything to do
Call me and I will do it for you
And I don't even know you

If I only had one wish to give
That wish would be for you to live forever and ever.
When I see you on the street
My heart skips a beat

And I'll take to the sky on a natural high
(I'll just take to the sky)
Loving you more till the day I die
(on a natural high)
Take to the sky on a natural high
(Loving you more and I don't know you)
Loving you more

I'm gonna try to do
All the things you want me to
If you'll just give me a chance
I'm trying to make something out of a nothing romance
And I don't even know you

Take me in your arms
Thrill me with all of your charms

And I'll take to the sky on a natural high
Loving you more 'till the day I die
(To the sky)

I'll take to the sky on a natural high
Loving you more

And I'll take to the sky on a natural high
Loving you more 'till the day I die

I'll take to the sky on a natural high
Loving loving you

I'll take to the sky on a natural high
Loving you more 'till the day I die

I'll take to the sky on a natural high
Loving loving you

I'll die for em, gimme a chair and then I'll fry for em
And if I got ta take the stand I'ma lie for em
It's me and you hand in hand
I'm married to The Firm boo, you gots ta understand
I'll die for em, gimme a chair and then I'll fry for em
And if I got ta take the stand I'ma lie for em
(repeat to fade)

Street Life

(Randy Crawford)

I play the street life
Because there's no place I can go
Street life
It's the only life I know
Street life
And there's a thousand cards to play
Street life
Until you play your life away

You never people see
Just do you wanna be
And every night you shine
Just like a superstar
The type of life that's played
A temptin' masquerade
You dress you walk you talk
You're who you think you are

Street life
You can run away from time
Street life
For a nickel, for a dime
Street life
But you better not get old
Street life
Or you're gonna feel the cold

There's always love for sale
A grown up fairy tale
Prince charming always smiles
Behind a silver spoon
And if you keep it young
Your song is always sung
Your love will pay your way beneath the silver moon

Street life, street life, street life, oh street life
Hmm, Yeah, oh

I play the street life
Because there's no place I can go
Street life
It's the only life I know
Street life
There's a thousand cards to play
Street life
Until you play your life away
Oh !

Street life, street life, street life, oh street life...

Didn't I Blow Your Mind This Time

(The Delfonics)

I gave my heart and soul to you, girl
Didn't I do it baby.... didn't I do it baby

Gave you the love you never knew, girl
Didn't I do it baby... didn't I do it baby

I've tried so many times and that's no lie
It seems to make you laugh each time I cry

Didn't I blow your mind this time, didn't I, oh
Didn't I blow your mind this time, didn't I,
Listen

I thought that heart of yours was true, girl
Now didn't I think it baby, babe... didn't I think it baby

But this time I'm really leavin' you, girl
Hope you know it baby... hope you know it baby

Ten times or more, yes, I've walked out that door
Get this into your head, there'll be no more

Didn't I blow your mind this time, didn't I, oh
Didn't I blow your mind this time, didn't I

Didn't I do it baby... didn't I do it baby
Didn't I do it baby... didn't I do it baby

Ten times or more, yes, I've walked out that door
Get this into your head, there'll be no more

Didn't I blow your mind this time, didn't I, oh
Didn't I blow your mind this time, didn't I
I got to leave baby
Didn't I blow your mind this time, didn't I, oh
Didn't I blow your mind this time, didn't I

Midnight Confessions

 (The Grass Roots)

The sound of your footsteps
Telling me that you're near
Your soft gentle motion, babe
Brings out the need in me that no-one can hear, except

In my midnight confessions
When I tell all the world that I love you
In my midnight confessions
When I say all the things that I want to
I love you

But a little gold ring you wear on your hand makes me understand
There's another before me, you'll never be mine
I'm wasting my time

Staggering through the daytime
Your image on my mind
Passing so close beside you baby
Sometimes the feelings are so hard to hide, except

In my midnight confessions
When I tell all the world that I love you
In my midnight confessions
When I say all the things that I want to
I love you

But a little gold ring you wear on your hand makes me understand
There's another before me, you'll never be mine
I'm wasting my time

In my midnight confessions
When I tell all the world that I love you
In my midnight confessions
When I say all the things that I want to
Na na-nana na na na-na
Na na-nana na na na-na

Inside My Love

 (Minnie Riperton)

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Two people, just meeting, barely touching each other
Two spirits, greeting, try to carry each further
You are one, and I am another
We should be, one inside each other

You can see inside me, will you come inside me
Do you wanna ride, inside my love
You can see inside me, will you come inside me
Do you wanna ride, inside my love

Two strangers, not strangers
Only lacking the knowing
So willing, feeling
Infinite growing
While we're here, the whole world is turning
We should be, one, fulfilling the yearning

You can see inside me, will you come inside me
Do you wanna ride, inside my love
You can see inside me, will you come inside me
Do you wanna ride, inside my love

You can see inside me, will you come inside me
Do you wanna ride, inside my love
You can see inside me, will you come inside me
Do you wanna ride, inside my love

Inside me, inside me

Just Ask Melanie

 (Dialogue)

Melanie:
"Take your thumb off the cup. You okay?"

Louis:
"Yeah, just getting old. Seems I can't smoke or laugh now without coughing."

Melanie:
"Oh, well coughing's good, it opens up the capillaries,
you know when you cough you're pulling air, or in this case...smoke, into parts of the lungs that don't
normally get used, and so, coughing's good, it gets you higher..."

Ordell:
"...and you definately know a lot about that. Goddamn girl, you gettin high already? It's just two o'clock."

Melanie:
"It's that late?"

Ordell:
"You know you smoke too much of that shit, that shit's gonna rob you of your ambition..."

Melanie:
"Not if your ambition's to get high and watch TV."

Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)

 (Nancy Sinatra)

I was five and he was six
We rode on horses made of sticks
He wore black and I wore white
He could always win the fight

Bang bang he shot me down
Bang bang I hit the ground
Bang bang that awful sound
Bang bang my baby shot me down

Seasons came and changed the time
When I grew up, I called him mine
He would always laugh and say
Remember when we used to play

Bang bang I shot you down
Bang bang you hit the ground
Bang bang that awful sound
Bang bang I used to shoot you down

The music played and people sang
And just for me the church bells rang

Now he's gone I don't know why
And till this day some times I cry
He didn't even say goodbye
He didn't take the time to lie

Bang bang he shot me down
Bang bang I hit the ground
Bang bang that awful sound
Bang bang my baby shot me down

Queen Of The Crime Council

(Dialogue : Lucy Liu & Julie Dreyfus)

As your leader, I encourage you from time to time
And always in respectful manner to question my logic.
If you're unconvinced a particular plan of action,
I've decided, is the wises then tell me so.
But allow me to convince you and I promise you right here and now
No subject will ever be taboo.
Except of course the subject that was just under discussion.
The price you pay for bringing up either my Chinese or American
Heritage as a negative, is, I collect your fucking head!
Just like this fucker right here.
Now, if any of you, son of bitches got anything else to say
Now is the fucking time!!!
I didn't think so...

Ode to Oren Ishii

 (RZA)

Aiyo
I wanna dedicate this song right here to O-Ren Ishii
Half Chinese/Half Japane-see
Half American and yo
Oh what a specie
A feminine perfection
She got the sinister cat eyes
And little freckles on her complexion
Cheaper than Yakuza
But she's wicked like Medusa
And she got Crazy 88 killers
That'll slice right through ya
Quick to chop a head off
Then wipe the blood off
A long range sniper shot she bust
Never let a dud off
You got a minute to pray
And a second to die
You can see the image of the devil reflectin'
Inside her eye
But since she was a little girl, yo
She never would cry
She seen so much tragedy
Let me explain to you why
She grew up on the military base
Where she had to face
The brutality of her mother and her father being erased
The blood drops from her tear drops, on her face you see the smear spots
She silently watched, as the shogun sliced through her dear pops
Through his thick skull, now she's vicious like a pitbull
And when it comes to hatred, and revenge she got a shit full

Yo... revenge is that fire that burns inside your soul

Aiyo, she been bustin' off kneecaps, son, since the age of eleven
But fuckin' the enemy to death, uggh, that was her favorite weapon
And the death you paid in hell, boy, it can't be paid in heaven
You better got down on your knees, son, and start prayin' to the reverend
Bon appetit, boy, revenge is so sweet
Especially when it's served on a cold dish, but she has no wish
But to cut your day short like the winter soulstice
And a chance to receive a slight bit of mercy from her was hopeless
Oren Ishii, half Chinese/half Japane-see
Half American, muaww, yeah, oh what a species

Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood

 (Santa Esmeralda)

Baby
Do you understand me now?
Sometimes I feel a little mad
But, don't you know that no one alive can always be an angel
When things go wrong I seem to be bad

I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

If I seem edgy
I want you to know
That I never meant to take it out on you
Life has its problems
And I got my share
And that's one thing I never meant to do
'Cause I love you

Baby, don't you know I'm just human
And I've got thoughts like any other one
And sometimes I find myself, oh Lord, regretting
Some foolish thing, some foolish thing I've done

But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

Oh Lord, don't let me be misunderstood
Please don't let me be misunderstood

Baby, do you understand me now?
Sometimes I feel a little mad
But, don't you know that no one alive can always be an angel
When things go wrong I seem to be bad

'Cause I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

Baby, sometimes I'm so carefree
With a joy that's hard to hide
And sometimes it seems that, all I have to do is worry
And then you're bound to see my other side

'Cause I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

If I seem edgy
I want you to know
That I never meant to take it out on you
Life has its problems
And I got my share
And that's one thing I never meant to do
'Cause I love you

Oh, baby, don't you know I'm human
I have thoughts like any other one
And sometimes I find myself, oh Lord, regretting
Some foolish thing, some foolish thing I've done

'Cause I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

Translation from Booklet :

Begrieving snow falls in the dead morning
Stray dog's howls and the footsteops of Geta pierce the air
I walk with the weight of the Milky Way on my shoulders
but an umbrella that holds onto the darkness is all there is.
I'm a woman who walks at the brink of life and death
who's emptied my tears many moons ago.
All the compassion tears and dreams
The snowy nights and tomorrow hold no meaning
I've immersed my body in the river of venegance
and thrown away my womanhood many moons ago
On the behalf of heaven, they're our soldiers, the loyal, invincible and brave.
Now it's time for them to leave the country of their
parents their hearts buoyed by encouraging voices.
They are solemnly resolved not to return alive, without victory.
Here at home, the citizens wait for you.
In foreign lands, the brave troops
Instead of kindness from someone
I do not care about
I rather prefer selifshness from you my beloved.
Oh, it the world a dream or an illusion?
I am all alone in jail.

You're My Wicked Life

 (Dialogue : David Carradine)

Bill:
If you had to guess why she left you alive.
What would be your guess?

Sofie Fatale:
Guessing won't be necessary
She informed me...
She said I could keep my wicked life for two reasons

The Bride:
As I said before..
I've allowed you to keep your wicked life for two reasons.
And the second reason is, so you can tell him, in person
everything that happened to you tonight. I want him to witness
the extend of my mercy by witnessing your deformed body.
I want you to tell him all the information you've just told me.
I want him to know what I know.
I want him to know I want him to know.
And I want them all to know, they'll all soon be as dead as Oren.

A few words from the bride

 (Dialogue : Uma Thurman)

Uma Thurman :

Looked dead, didn't I ?
Well I wasn't.
But it wasn't for lack of trying, I can tell you that.
Actually Bill's last bullet put me in a coma.
A coma I was to lie in for five years.
When I woke up,
I went on what the movie advertisements refer to as a Roaring Rampage of Revenge.
I roarded and I rampaged and I got bloody satisfaction.
I've killed 33 people to get to this point right now.
I have only one more.
The last one.
The one I'm driving to right now.
The only one left.
And when I arrive at my destination...
I'm gonna Kill Bill.

Goodnight moon

 (Shivaree)

There's a nail in the door
And there's glass on the lawn
Tacks on the floor
And the TV is on
And I always sleep with my guns
When you're gone

There's a blade by the bed
And a phone in my hand
A dog on the floor
And some cash on the nightstand
When I'm all alone the dreaming stops
And I just can't stand

What should I do I'm just a little baby
What if the lights go out and maybe
And then the wind just starts to moan
Outside the door he followed me home

Well goodnight moon
I want the sun
If it's not here soon
I might be done
No it won't be too soon 'til I say
Goodnight moon

There's a shark in the pool
And a witch in the tree
A crazy old neighbour and he's been watching me
And there's footsteps loud and strong coming down the hall
Something's under the bed
Now it's out in the hedge
There's a big black crow sitting on my window ledge
And I hear something scratching through the wall

Oh what should I do I'm just a little baby
What if the lights go out and maybe
I just hate to be all alone
Outside the door he followed me home
Now goodnight moon
I want the sun
If it's not here soon
I might be done
No it won't be too soon 'til I say
Goodnight moon

Well you're up so high
How can you save me
When the dark comes here
Tonight to take me up
To my front walk
And into bed where it kisses my face
And eats my head

Oh what should I do I'm just a little baby
What if the lights go out and maybe
And then the wind just starts to moan
Outside the door he followed me home
Now goodnight moon
I want the sun
If it's not here soon
I might be done
No it won't be too soon 'til I say
Goodnight moon
No it won't be too soon 'til I say
Goodnight moon

Can't hardly stand it

 (Charlie Feathers)

Well, the sun is goin' down
And you're uptown
You're just out
A-runnin' around

I can't hardly stand it
You're troublin' me
I can't hardly stand it
It just can't be
What you don't know
Baby I love you so
You got me all tore up
All tore up

You said you threw it away
You set me free
But you're just down
Where you used to be

I can't hardly stand it
You're troublin' me
I can't hardly stand it
It just can't be
What you don't know
Baby I love you so
You got me all tore up
All tore up

Well, my spirit is low
I miss you so
I stand alone
And watch you go

I can't hardly stand it
You're troublin' me
I can't hardly stand it
it just can't be
What you don't know
Baby I love you so
You got me all tore up
Aall tore up

Well, I found that you are gone
And I'm alone
All I do
Is sit and moan

I can't hardly stand it
You're troublin' me
I can't hardly stand it
It just can't be
What you don't know
Baby I love you so
You got me all tore up

Tu Mirá

 (Lole Y Manuel)

Y no quisiste venir
Y no quisiste venir
No te quisiste venir

And your glance
Nails in my eyes like a sword
Nails in my eyes like a sword
Nails in my eyes like a sword

A rose cries for love
A rose cries for love
And a white butterfly
Is a handkerchief for her

So much flying
Thirsty after so much flying
In a clear water pool
The lark drinks the sky

That afternoon of april
I said come with me
And you didn't want to come
And you didn't want to come
And you didn't want to come

And your glance nails in my eyes like a sword
Nails in my eyes like a sword
Nails in my eyes like a sword
(x2)

And your glance nails in my eyes like a sword
And my train of joy goes away (nails in my eyes...)
And i don't have more dream than your glance (nails in my eyes...)

And your glance nails in my eyes like a sword
Cricket of my torments, choped down rose (nails in my eyes like a sword)
When i dream your eyes in the darkness (nails in my eyes...)
I can't separate from your glance (nails in my eyes...)

And your glance nails in my eyes like a sword
Nails in my eyes like a sword
Nails in my eyes like a sword

And your glance nails in my eyes like a sword...

The Legend of Pai Mei

 (Dialogue : D.Carradine & U.Thurman)

David Carradine :

Once upon a time in China
Some believe around the year, one-double knot-three.
Head priest of The White Lotus Clan Pai Mei
Was walking down the road
Contemplating whatever a man with Pai Mei's infinite power would contemplate
Which is another way of saying, who knows.
When, a Shaolin monk appeared on the road traveling in the opposite direction.

As the monk and the priest crossed paths...
Pai Mei in a practically unfathomable display of generosity
Gave the monk the slightest of nods.
The nod, was not returned.

Now was it the intention of the Shaolin monk to insult Pai Mei ?
Or, did he just fail to see the generous social gesture?
The motives of the monk, remain unknown.
What is known, were the consequences.

The next morning Pai Mei appeared at the Shaolin Temple,
and demanded that the temple's head Abbot offer Pai Mei his neck to repay the insult.
The Abbot, at first, tried to console Pai Mei, only to find, Pai Mei was inconsolable.

So began, the massacre of the Shaolin Temple,
And all sixty of the monks inside,
at the fists of the White Lotus.
And so began, the legend of Pai Mei's Five-Point Palm
Exploding Heart Technique.

Uma Thurman :

And what praytell
Is a five-point palm
Exploding heart technique

A Satisfied Mind

 (Johnny Cash)

How many times have
You heard someone say
If I had his money
I could do things my way

But little they know
That it's so hard to find
One rich man in ten
With a satisfied mind

Once I was waitin'
In fortune and fame
Everything that I dreamed for
To get a start in life's game

Then suddenly it happened
I lost every dime
But I'm richer by far
With a satisfied mind

Money can't buy back
Your youth when you're old
Or a friend when you're lonely
Or a love that's grown cold

The wealthiest person
Is a pauper at times
Compared to the man
With a satisfied mind

When my life has ended
And my time has run out
My friends and my loved ones
I'll leave there's no doubt

But one thing's for certain
When it comes my time
I'll leave this old world
With a satisfied mind

How many times have
You heard someone say
If I had his money
I could do things my way

But little they know
That it's so hard to find
One rich man in ten
With a satisfied mind

About Her

(Malcolm Mclaren)

My man's
Got a heart
Like a rock
Cast in the sea

My man's
Got a heart
Like a rock
Cast in the sea...

Well, no one told me about her
The way she lied
Well, no one told me about her
How many people cried

My man's
Got a heart
Like a rock
Cast in the sea

My man's
Got a heart
Like a rock
Cast in the sea...

Well, no one told me about her
The way she lied
Well, no one told me about her
How many people cried

But it's too late to say you're sorry
How would I know, why should I care?
Please don't bother trying to find her
She's not there...

My man's... in the sea...my man's

My man's
Got a heart
Like a rock
Cast in the sea...

Cast in the sea...

Well, no one told me about her...
Well, no one told me about her
How many people cried

But it's too late to say you're sorry
How would I know, why should I care?
Please don't bother to find her
She's not there...

She's not there...
She's not there...

Here's a tiny bit of interesting history behind the song on the soundtrack :
- The Kill Bill song is actually 2 covers within 1 song! The main part is a cover of "She's Not There" by The Zombies.
The other part (with the woman singing) is called "St. Louis Blues" by W.C. Handy...
- The song "St. Louis Blues" was originally done on October 5th of 1921 by W.C. Handy, and the woman vocals is done by Esther Bigeou...
- The Kill Bill song should really be called "She's Not There" (like the real song by The Zombies), but I guess they wanted to change the title for the soundtrack.

Truly and Utterly Bill

 (Dialogue : D.Carradine & U.Thurman)

D. Carradine :
Now, when it comes to you, and us,
I have a few unanswered questions.
So, before this tale of bloody revenge reaches it's climax,
I'm gonna ask you some questions,
And I want you to tell me the truth.
However, therein lies the dilemma,
Because when it comes to the subject of me,
I believe you are truly and utterly incapable of telling the truth,
Especially to me and least of all to yourself.
And when it comes to the subject of me,
I am truly and utterly incapable of believing anything you say.

U.Thurman :
How do you suppose we solve this dilemma?

D. Carradine :
Well it just so happens I have the solution.

[Bill shoots the Bride in the leg with a dart gun filled with a potent truth serum]

Te ofrezco mi corazón
Te ofrezco mi corazón
A cambio de mi pobreza.

My Grudge Blues

 (Translation)

You're beautiful, you're the flower, he praises you.
But if you bloom, he will get you scattered.
Stupid. So stupid.
I go so stupid singin' my grudge blues.

You can accept your pitiful fate.
But when you cry, he'll make you cry more.
Women, oh women,
It's women's tears that makes my grudge blues.

I hate you. Full of regret, never forgiven.
Try to erase my memory, but cannot forget you.
It never ends, never,
It never ends, 'cause that's my grudge blues.

They say it's a dream, embers of one-sided attachment, laughing at you.
So you decide to wake up, but fear to be fully awake.
Women, oh women,
Women's soul beats on my grudge blues.

Crimson roses have its sharp thorns.
Don't wanna hurt you, but have to stab you with my thorn.
Burning, it's burning,
It keeps on burning within my grudge blues.

No flower would bloom on my dead body.
So I will live along hanging on my grudge.
Women, oh women,
My woman's life belongs to my grudge blues.

Black Mamba

(The Wu Tang Clan / Hidden bonus track)

[Intro: O.D.B.]
BLACK MAMBA!

[Chorus: all]
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!

[The RZA]
Yo unbreakable steel sword swingin', face the Black Mamba
Deadly Vipers, squeeze ya life out like anacondas
In the story, off wit ya head, the scene is gory
Single-edged steel blade made by Hattori
Hanzo, you see the signature of brother Han' though?
Try to strike out, you get ya arm dismantled
Chief of the Yakuza's wicked like Medusa
With Crazy 88's too, 'bout to meet ya maker

[Ol' Dirty Bastard]
Ol' Dirty Bastard swordplay
Dirt McGirt be pickin' up skirts on 4th and Broadway
Japanese bitch be suckin' my dick
Puerto Rican hoes be lickin' my split
California Mountain Snake on debate
Be givin' my head while I'm countin' my cake
Crushin' up an 8th of that snow white shit
In the Pussy Wagon not hittin' the brakes!

[Chorus: all]
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!

[Masta Killa]
Baaaaaamm.. hidden swordstyle hits, I wish
A nigga would test the Black Mamba, in a spit like the coma
Fill his Copperhead with the hollow tip lead
Yo.. who wanna dance with the fertile lands' deadly state?
Cottonmouth sticky from the Af' gooey
Blowin' smoke through the Viper Pit
Hold a listener tight, mic constrictor
Words from the theater, swift as Krishner

[Chorus: all]
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!
Uh huh huh.. Black Mamba!

Baby it's you

(Smith)

It's not the way you smile that touched my heart
It's not the way you kissed that tears me apart

Many, many, many nights go by
I sit alone at home and cry over you
What can I do
Don't want nobody, nobody
Cause, baby, it's you
Baby, it's you

Is it true what they say about you
They say you'll never, ever, never be true
It doesn't matter what they say
I know I'm gonna love you any old way
What can I do
What about you
Don't want nobody, nobody
Baby, it's you
Baby, it's you
Baby

It doesn't matter what they say
I know I'm gonna love any old way
What can I do
What about you
Don't want nobody, nobody
Baby, it's you
Baby, it's you

Don't leave me alone
Come on home
Baby, it's you
Baby, it's you
You know I need your loving
You know I love you
Baby, it's you
Baby...

Planning & Scheming

Michael Bacall :
Now, look,
You can't look like you're trying to get her out of here before Christian Simonson shows up,
But you've got to get her out of here before Christian Simonson shows up.

Eli Roth :
What's the point?
They're going to Shanna's daddy's house at Lake L.B.J. and it's no guys.
Absolutely no guys.

Michael Bacall :
Okay.
So after we bring the girls' drinks,
In fairly rapid order, but not obvious,
We order two more rounds of shots.

Eli Roth :
You think they're gonna fall for that?

Michael Bacall :
We'll be very convincing.
Now it's time to turn up the volume.
No more fucking around.
We go to Jäger shots.

Eli Roth :
Man, they're not gonna drink Jäger shots.

Michael Bacall :

Dude, as long as a guy's buying the booze, a fuckin' bitch will drink anything.
C'mon, we can at least get one shot of Jäger down these fucking bitches' throats.
After that, we'll see if they get another Jäger shot in them.
You never know.
That could be the shot that puts them past the point of "fuck it."

Eli Roth :
Then all of a sudden "no guys at the lake house"
Turns into a couple of guys at the lake house.

Michael Bacall :
My point exactly.
And I know I can at least get "Shanna Suck-my-banana" to do a fucking Buttery Nipple shot.
What's Julia's sweet shot?

Eli Roth :
Key Lime Pie.

Michael Bacall :
Oh, come on, dude.
Even fucking Leroy Brown would do one more for dessert.

Jeepster

(T Rex)

You're so sweet
You're so fine
I want you all and everything just to be mine

'Cause you're my baby
'Cause you're my love
Oh girl I'm just a jeepster for your love

You slide so good

You've got the universe reclining in your hair

'Cause you're my baby

Just like a car you're pleasing to be hold
I'll call you Jaguar if I may be so bold

'Cause you're my baby

Oh girl I'm just a jeepster for your love

The wild winds blow upon your frozen cheeks
The way you flip your hip it always makes me weak

'Cause you're my baby

Oh girl I'm just a jeepster for your love

Your motivation is so sweet
Your vibrations are all burning up my feet

'Cause you're my baby

Rose Mcgowan :

Kurt Russell :

Rose Mcgowan :

Quentin Tarantino :

Quentin Tarantino :

He's a stuntman.

Staggolee

 (Pacific Gas & Electric)

It was early, early one morning
When I heard my bulldog bark
Was Staggolee and Billy Lyons
Squabblin' in the dark.

Staggolee told Billy Lyons
'What do you think of that?
You win all my money, Lawd,
Now you spit in my Stetson hat.'

Staggolee, he went a-walkin'
In the red-hot, broilin' sun
Says, 'Bring me my six-shooter,
Lawd, I wants my forty-one.'

Staggolee, he went a-walkin'
Through the mud and through the sand
Says, 'I feel mistreated this morning
I could kill most any man.'

Billy Lyons told Staggolee
Please don't take my life
I've got three little helpless chillun
And one poor, pitiful wife.'

'Don't care nothin' about your chillun,
And nothing about your wife,
You done mistreated me, Billy
And I'm bound to take your life.'

He shot him three times in the shoulder
Lawd, and three times in the side
Well, the last time he shot him
'Cause Billy Lyons to die

Staggolee told Mrs Billy
'You don't believe your man is dead
Come into the bar-room
See the hole I shot in his head.'

The high sheriff told the deputies
Get your pistols and come with me
We got to go arrest that bad man
No mercy Staggolee.'

The deputies took their pistols
And they laid them on the shelf
If you want that bad man Staggolee
Have to 'rest him by yourself.'

The High sheriff ask the bartender,
'Who can that bad man be?'
'Speak softly,' said the bartender,
It's that bad man Staggolee.'

He touch Stack on the shoulder,
Say, 'Stack, why don't you run?'
'I don't run, white folks,
When I got my forty-one.'

The hangman put the mask on,
Tied his hands behind his back
Sprung the trap on Staggolee
But his neck refuse to crack

The Hangman, he got frightened
Said, 'Chief, you see how it be
I can't hang this man
Better set him free.'

Three hundred dollar funeral
Thousand dollar hearse
Satisfaction undertaker
Put Stack on down in the earth

Staggolee, he told the Devil
Says, 'Come on and have some fun
You stick me with your pitchfork
And I'll shoot you with my forty-one.'

Staggolee took the pitchfork
And he laid it on the shelf
Says, 'Stand back, Tom Devil, Lawd
I'm gonna rule Hell by myself.'

The Love You Save (May Be Your Own)

(Joe Tex)

People, I've been misled
And I've been afraid
I've been hit in the head
And left for dead
I've abused
And I've been accused
I've been refused
A piece of bread

But I ain't never
In my life before
Seen so many love affairs
Go wrong as I do today
I want you to stop
And find out what's wrong
Get it right
Or just leave love alone
Because the love you save today
Maybe will be your own

Listen to me
I've been pushed around
I've been lost and found
I've been given til sundown
To get out of town
I've been taken outside
And I've been brutalized
And I've had to always be the one to smile
And apologize

But I ain't never
In my life before
Seen so many love affairs
Go wrong as I do today
Oh so stop
Find out what's wrong
Get it right
Or please leave love alone
Because the love you save today
Maybe it will be your own

Good Love Bad Love

 (Eddie Floyd)

Given up on your love because
I found out years I've lost
I found it so hard myself
What's been seen by everyone else

Oh that your good love, good love, good love
Has been a bad, bad love

Led me on, oh that's what you did
To believe that you loved me
When all the time you knew
You just pitied me
Oh that's all right, I guess you win
Every road must have an end

When your good love, good love, good love
Has been a bad, bad love

Am I wrong
That's what I ask myself
And I just got to know
Should I forgive
And find somebody else
You know I stood yesterday
Oh I can't stand it again

When your good love, good love, good love
Has been a bad, bad love

Oh, good love, good love, good love
Has been a bad, bad love

Down In Mexico

 (The Coasters)

Down in Mexicali
There's a crazy little place that I know
Where the drinks are hotter than the chili sauce
And the boss is a cat named Joe

He wears a red bandana
Plays a blues piano
In a honky-tonk, down in Mexico
He wears a purple sash
And a black moustache
In a honky-tonk, down in Mexico

Well, the first time that I saw him
He was sitting on a piano stool
I said "Tell me man, when does the fun begin?"
He just winked his eye and said "Man, be cool."

He wears a red bandana
Plays a blues piano
In a honky-tonk, down in Mexico
He wears a purple sash
And a black moustache
In a honky-tonk, down in Mexico

In Mexico
All of a sudden in walks this chick
In Mexico
Joe starts playing on a Latin kick
In Mexico
Around her waist she wore three fishnets
In Mexico
She started dancing with the castanets
In Mexico
I didn't know just what to expect
In Mexico
She threw her arms around my neck
In Mexico
We started dancing all around the floor
In Mexico
And then she did a dance I never saw before

So if you're south of the border
I mean down in Mexico
And you wanna get straight, man
Don't hesitate
Just look up a cat named Joe

He wears a red bandana
Plays a blues piano
In a honky-tonk, down in Mexico
He wears a purple sash
And a black moustache
In a honky-tonk, down in Mexico

Yeah, como esta usted señorita
Hey, come with me to Mexico city
Ah you can get your kicks in Mexico
Ah ah ah crazy
Come with me baby
Come with me
??
Come with me señorita !
Yeah

Hold Tight

Hold tight, count to three
Gotta stay close by me
And hold tight, sing and shout
Just ride my round-about
And hold tight, shut your eyes
Girl, you suit me for size

Forget the other guys
You'll never fall each time you call
Hold tight, hold tight, hold tight

Hold tight make me feel what you say is for real
And hold tight, Carousel, girl you'll soon ring my bell
And hold tight, we will fly, swinging low, swinging high

We're gonna make the sky
You'll never fall each time you call
Hold tight, hold tight, hold tight

Hold tight, count to three
Gotta stay close by me
And hold tight, sing and shout
Just ride my round-about
And hold tight, shut your eyes
Girl, you suit me for size

Forget the other guys
You'll never fall each time you call
Hold tight, hold tight, hold tight

It's so easy

 (Willy DeVille)

You know you're sliding down
Against your heart
Yeah. you got one

Just close your eyes
So you can see
So you can see

No baby, I don't care
What they say
It's so easy

No baby, I don't care
What they say
It's so easy

Yeah, it's coming on
It's getting sweeter
And sweeter

If you're gonna drown
Then do it the right way
Do it the right way

I don't care what they say
It's so easy

I don't care what they say
It's so ha ha ha ha...
It's so easy
It's so easy
It's so easy
Ha ha ha ha
Oh baby...
Yeah yeah...
It's so easy
It's so easy...

Whatever-However

Now.
What did you say after the last time

Look.I know what I said.

What did you say?

I know I said we shouldn't do this again...

No, you didn't say "We shouldn't".
You said, we ain't ever gonna do that again.

But.

But my ass.

You said, not only are we never gonna play Ships Mast again,
But you also said, if you ever do what you try to do now,
to not only refuse, but that I had permission to physically restrain your ass, if necessary.
Now, did you or did you not say that?
Naw naw naw naw.
Answer the question, motherfucker.
Did you or did you not say that?

Yes. I said that. However
Whatever with your however.

Chick Habit

 (April March)

Hang up the chick habit
Hang it up, daddy
Or you'll be alone in a quick

Hang up the chick habit
Hang it up, daddy,
Or you'll never get another fix

I'm telling you it's not a trick
Pay attention, don't be thick
Or you're liable to get licked

You're gonna see the reason why
When they're spitting in your eye
They'll be spitting in your eye

Hang up the chick habit
Hang it up, daddy
A girl's not a tonic or a pill

Hang up the chick habit
Hang it up, daddy
You're just jonesing for a spill

Oh, how your bubble's gonna burst
When you meet another nurse
She'll be driving in a hearse

You're gonna need a heap of glue
When they all catch up with you
And they cut you up in two

Now your ears are ringing
The birds have stopped their singing
Everything is turning grey

No candy in your till
No cutie left to thrill
You're alone on a tuesday

Hang up the chick habit
Hang it up, daddy
Or you'll be alone in a quick

Hang up the chick habit
Hang it up, daddy
Or you'll never get another fix

I'm telling you it's not a trick
Pay attention, don't be thick
Or you're liable to get licked

You're gonna see the reason why
When they're spitting in your eye
They'll be spitting in your eye

You're gonna see the reason why
When they're spitting in your eye
They'll be spitting in your eye...

Slaughter

(Billy Preston)

Slaughter's going to blow your mind
Slaughter does not waste his time
My advice to you is this
If you shoot at him you better not miss

Slaughter's big, bad, black and bold
The brother has a lot of soul
Don't you make him mean and cross
'Cause he'll show you who's the boss
Slaughter

Slaughter come to blow your mind
Slaughter does not waste his time
My advice to you is this
If you shoot at him, brother
You better not miss

Slaughter is big, bad, black and bold
The brother has a whole lot of soul
Don't you make him mean and cross
'Cause he will show you who's the boss
Slaughter

Yeah, Slaughter
Yeah, Slaughter

Davon Geht Die Welt Nicht Unter

(Zarah Leander)

Wenn mal mein Herz unglücklich liebt
Ist es vor Kummer unsagbar betrübt
Dann denk ich immer
Alles ist aus
Ich bin so allein

Wo ist ein Mensch der mich versteht
So hab ich manchmal voll Sehnsucht gefleht

Tja, aber dann gewöhnt ich mich dran
Und ich sah es ein

Davon geht die Welt nicht unter
Sieht man sie manchmal auch grau
Einmal wird sie wieder bunter
Einmal wird sie wieder himmelblau
Geht mal drüber und mal drunter
Wenn uns der Schädel auch graut
Davon geht die Welt nicht unter
Sie wird ja noch gebraucht

Davon geht die Welt nicht unter
Sieht man sie manchmal auch grau
Einmal wird sie wieder bunter
Einmal wird sie wieder himmelblau
Geht mal drüber und mal drunter
Wenn uns der Schädel auch graut
Davon geht die Welt nicht unter
Sie wird ja noch gebraucht
Davon geht die Welt nicht unter
Sie wird ja noch gebraucht

The Man With The Big Sombrero

 (Samantha Shelton & Michael Andrew)

 (Lilian Harvey & Willy Fritsch)

"Ich wollt, ich wollt, ich wollt, ich wollt
"Was willst du denn?"
"Dichten!"
"Oh, Herr Dichter!"

Cat People (Putting Out Fire)

 (David Bowie)

See these eyes so green
I can stare for a thousand years
Colder than the moon
It's been so long
And I've been putting out fire
With gasoline

See these eyes so red
Red like jungle burning bright
Those who feel me near
Pull the blinds and change their minds
It's been so long

Still this pulsing night
A plague I call a heartbeat
Just be still with me
You wouldn't believe what I've been through
You've been so long
Well it's been so long
And I've been putting out thr fire with gasoline
Putting out the fire with gasoline

See these tears so blue
An ageless heart that can never mend
These tears can never dry
A judgement made can never bend
See these eyes so green
I can stare for a thousand years
Just be still with me
You wouldn't believe what I've been through

You've been so long
Well, it's been so long
And I've been putting out the fire with gasoline
Putting out fire with gasoline

You've been so long
You've been so long
Well, it's been so long

You've been so long
I've been putting out the fire
You've been so long
I've been putting out the fire
Been so long
So long, so long
Been so long
So long, so long
I've been putting out the fire...

Winged

 (Dialogue : James Russo)

Dr.Schultz:
"Who's that stumbling around in the dark?!
State your business or prepare to get winged!"

Django

 (Rocky Roberts & Luis Bacalov)

Django!
Django, have you always been alone
Django!
Django, have you never loved again
Love will live on
Life must go on
For you cannot spend your life regreatting

Django!
Django, you must face another day
Django!
Django, now your love has gone away
Once you loved her
Now you've lost her
But you've lost her forever, Django

When there are clouds in the skies, and they are grey
You may be sad but remember that love will pass away
Oh Django, after the showers is the sun
Will be shining

Once you loved her
Now you've lost her
But you've lost her forever, Django

When there are clouds in the skies, and they are grey
You may be sad but remember that love will pass away
Oh Django, after the showers is the sun
Will be shining

Django!
Oh Django
You must go on
Oh Django

In the Case Django, After You...

(Dialogue : Christoph Waltz & Jamie Foxx)

Dr.Schultz:
So what hundred archaic rituals are you people verboten to take part in

Django:
What?

Dr.Schultz:
Like, for instance
What if we were to walk in this saloon here
Sit down at a table, order a drink, and drink it
Would the authorities frown on that?

Django:
Hell yeah, they gonna frown

Dr.Schultz:
What part would they find the most offensive?

Django:
All of it.
I can't be walkin' in no saloon.
I can't be sittin' my ass on no chair, at no table.
I can't be drinkin' no drink.
And I definitely can't be sharin' no drink, with no white man, in public.

Dr.Schultz:
So if you and I were to do those things
That would be considered enough of a infraction
For the saloon keeper to gone get the sheriff?

Django:
You bet your sweet ass they get the sheriff.

Dr.Schultz:
In that case Django, after you.

Lo Chiamavano King (His Name Is King)

 (Luis Bacalov & Edda Dell'Orso)

His name was King
He had a horse
Along the countryside
I saw him ride
He had a gun
I knew him well
Oh, I heard him singing
I knew he loved someone

His name was King (His name was King)
He had a brother (He had a Brother)
His only brother
A peaceful guy
One day they found him
His shirt was red
Two shiny bullets
They found his brother dead

You can't see King
Whoa, he's riding
You can't see King
That man is searching
Got to fight his anger
Find in his eyes
Sure to find that killer
Looking for the man

His name was King (His name was King)
He had a horse (He had a brother)
Along the countryside
I saw him ride
He had a gun
Oh I knew him well
And when he shot
Oh that man, he never missed

Ride on King, ride
You get your man

Freedom

 (Anthony Hamilton & Elayna Boynton)

Felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders…
Pressure to break or retreat at every turn
Facing the fear that the truth had discovered
No telling how all this will work out
But I've gone too far to go back now

I am looking for freedom, looking for freedom
And to find it cost me everything I have
Well I am looking for freedom, looking for freedom
And to find it may take everything I have

I know all too well it don't come easy
The chains of the world they seem to move in tight
I try to walk around it but stumbling's so familiar
Try to get up but the doubt is so strong
There's gotta be a weight in my bones

I'm looking for freedom, looking for freedom
And to find it, cost me everything I have
Well I'm looking for freedom, I'm looking for freedom
And to find it may take everything I have

Oh not giving up has always been hard, so hard
But if I do things the easy way I won't get far
life hasn't been very kind to me lately (well)
But I suppose it's a push for moving on (oh yeah)
In time the sun's gonna shine on me nicely (one day yeah)
Something tells me good things are coming and I ain't gonna not believe

I am looking for freedom, looking for freedom
And to find it, cost me everything I have
Well I am looking for freedom, looking for freedom
And to find it, may take everything I have

Five-Thousand-Dollar Nigga's and Gummy Mouth Bitches

(Dialogue : Don Johnson & Christoph Waltz)

Dr.Schultz:
I've been told by those who should know
That the most exquisite African flesh in the state of Tennessee
Is bred right here on your land
And from the look of these black angels, my sources weren't wrong

Spencer:
Oh I got my share of, coal blacks, horse faces,
and gummy mouth bitches out in the field.
But the lion share of my lady niggers is real show pony's.

Dr.Schultz:
Well that's what I'm looking for
A show pony for young Django
So the only question that remains is
Do you have a nigger here worth five thousand dollars

Spencer:
Dr.Schultz, five thousand dollar nigger, is practically my middle name

Sneaky Schultz and the Demise of Sharp

(Dialogue : Don Stroud)

Sheriff Sharp:
Alright folks, calm down!
Go about your business
The jokers will be gone soon
Now, why do ya'll wanna come into my town and start trouble?
And scare all of these nice people
You ain't got nothing better to do than to come into Bill Sharp's town
And show your ass

I Got a Name

(Jim Croce)

Like the pine trees lining the winding road
I've got a name, I've got a name
Like the singing bird and the croaking toad
I've got a name, I've got a name

And I carry it with me like my daddy did
But I'm living the dream that he kept hid
Moving me down the highway
Rolling me down the highway
Moving ahead so life won't pass me by

Like the north wind whistling down the sky
I've got a song, I've got a song
Like the whippoorwill and the baby's cry
I've got a song, I've got a song

And I carry it with me and I sing it loud
If it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud

Moving me down the highway
Rolling me down the highway
Moving ahead so life won't pass me by

And I'm gonna go there free

Like the fool I am and I'll always be
I've got a dream, I've got a dream
They can change their minds but they can't change me
I've got a dream, I've got a dream

Oh, I know I could share it if you want me to
If you're going my way, I'll go with you

Moving me down the highway
Rolling me down the highway
Moving ahead so life won't pass me by

Moving me down the highway
Rolling me down the highway
Moving ahead so life won't pass me by

100 Black Coffins

 (Rick Ross)

Billy Crash:
Oh, now you are one lucky nigger.

Django:
You better listen to your boss, white boy.

Billy Crash:
Oh, I'm gonna go walkin' in the moonlight with you.

Django:
You wanna hold my hand?
[Billy laughs and starts riding away]

I need a hundred black coffins for a hundred bad men
A hundred black graves so I can lay they ass in
I need a hundred black preachers with a black sermon to tell
From a hundred black bibles, while we send them all to hell
I need a hundred black coffins, black coffins, black coffins, oh lord
I need a hundred black coffins, black coffins, oh lord, black coffins
I need a hundred

I seen a hundred niggas die
I put that on my life, lord, I wouldn't tell a lie
Unless it had to do with mine, in the middle of the night
Killas coming for your life, all he wanna do is shine
I broke off the chains, only the realest remain
See you praying to Jesus, but will that help ease the pain
Seen a brother get slain, for a job full of change
Yet I post on the block, look like I'm Big Daddy Kane
Is you a cat or a mouse, keep them rats out the house
Battle scars on my back, nigga, tattoos all around
Hundred dead bitches, hundred black coffins
Money on his head, bitch, I'm trynna make a fortune

I need a hundred black coffins for a hundred bad men
A hundred black graves so I can lay they ass in
I need a hundred black preachers with a black sermon to tell
From a hundred black bibles, while we send them all to hell
I need a hundred black coffins, black coffins, black coffins, oh lord
I need a hundred black coffins, black coffins, oh lord, black coffins
I need a hundred

I seen a hundred women burn
As they stood firm, treat a nigga like a germ
What did she do to deserve, put me on the farm
Pig's feet in the jar, serve it to me warm
Any questions, they hang 'em, better pray for Django
Got me working in fields, too many years, it get fatal
All I want is my woman, such a wonderful mother
On the days that it rain, her smile bright like a summer
Our revenge is the sweetest, bitch, cuz I'm coming
Got to die in my arms for what you did to my mother
Hundred dead bitches, hundred black coffins
Twelve gauge shotgun, chest full of copper, boom

I need a hundred black coffins for a hundred bad men
A hundred black graves so I can lay they ass in
I need a hundred black preachers with a black sermon to tell
From a hundred black bibles, while we send them all to hell
I need a hundred black coffins, black coffins, black coffins, oh lord
I need a hundred black coffins, black coffins, oh lord, black coffins
I need a hundred

Hildi's Hot Box

(Dialogue : Samuel L. Jackson & Leonardo DiCaprio)

Calvin Candie: Stephen, when you get through showing them to their rooms, go fetch Hildi.
Get her cleaned up and smellin' real nice and send her over to Dr. Schultz's room.
Stephen: Actually, Monsieur Candie sir, there's something I ain't told you about yet.
Calvin Candie: What?
Stephen: Uh, Hildi 'in the hot box.
Calvin Candie: Well what's she doin' there?
Stephen: What you think she doin' there, in the hot box? She been punished!
Calvin Candie: Well what did she do?
Stephen: She run off again.
Calvin Candie: Jesus Christ, Stephen! How many people run away while I was gone?
Stephen: Two.
Calvin Candie: Well when did she go?
Stephen: Last night. They brung her back this morning.
Calvin Candie: How long she been in the box?
Stephen: How long you think she been in there? All damn day! And the little bitch got ten more days to be in there.
Calvin Candie: Take her out.
Stephen: Take her out? Why?
Calvin Candie: Because I said so, that's why! Dr. Schultz is my guest. Hildi is my nigger. Southern hospitality dictates I make her available to him.
Stephen: But Monsieur Candie, she run off.
Calvin Candie: Christ, Stephen! What is the point of having a nigger that speaks German if you can't wheel 'em out when you have a German guest?
Now I realize it is an inconvenience! Still, you take her ass out.
Stephen: Yes sir.
Stephen: Ya'll done heard the man! Get her ass up outta there! Go! Get her over there and get her cleaned up and bring her back over here to, uh, Doctor -
Stephen: What did you say your name was? Shoots?
Dr. King Schultz: "Schultz."
Stephen: Schultz.

Ancora Qui

(Ennio Morricone & Elisa)

Ancora qui
Ancora tu
Ora però
Io so chi sei
Chi sempre sarai
E quando mi vedrai
Ricorderai

Ancora qui
Ancora tu
E spero mi perdonerai
Tu con gli stessi occhi
Sembri ritornare a chiedermi di me
Di come si sta
E qui dall'altra parte
Come va

L'erba verde
L'aria calda
Sui miei piedi
E sopra i fiori
Si alza un vento tra i colori
Sembri quasi tu

Anche il cielo cambia nome
Così bianco quel cotone
Che veloce che si muove
Perso in mezzo al blu

E' un qualcosa in te
E quel che tornerà
Come era già

Ancora qui
Ancora tu
E quel che è stato
E stato ormai
E con gli stessi occhi
Sembri ritornare a chiedermi di me
Di come si sta
E in questo strano mondo
Come va
Ritornerai e ritornerò
E ricorderai
Ricorderò

Ritornerai, ritornerò
Ricorderai, ricorderò
Ricorderai, ricorderai

Ricorderai, ricorderò
Ricorderai, ti ricorderò
Ricorderai, ricorderò
Ricorderai, ricorderò

Unchained (The Payback/Untouchable)

 (James Brown & 2Pac)

Am I wrong, 'cause I wanna get it on, till I die
Am I wrong, 'cause I wanna get it on, till I die
Get it on, till I die, get it on, till I die
Y'all, y'all remember me
Y'all, y'all remember me

Sold me out, taking change
Told me your name, we had, all the lanes
Held me down

Last chance fancy pants
Oh very well

Gotta get ready, want a big payback
The payback!
Hey, hey

Am I wrong, 'cause I wanna get it on, till I die
Am I wrong, 'cause I wanna get it on, till I die
Get it on, till I die, get it on, till I die
Y'all, y'all remember me
Y'all, y'all remember me

At the way you'll die
Am I wrong, 'cause I wanna get it on, till I die
Am I wrong, 'cause I wanna get it on, till I die
Get it on, till I die, get it on, till I die
Y'all, y'all remember me
Y'all, y'all remember me
At the way you'll die

Only wish to breed
I explode into a million seeds
Y'all remember me
Legendary live eternally
Bury me in pieces 'cause they fear reincarnation
Niggas screaming peace 'cause they fear when my squad face 'em
Take them to places, stake they face then erase 'em and brake 'em
Murder motherfucker's at a rate and then quicken the pace
Blast me but never ask me to live a lie
Am I wrong 'cause I wanna get it on till I die

Now even if you blind you can still see my prophecy
My destiny to overthrow those on top of me
Bitch made niggas and that bullshit you going through
Outlaws busting while we rushing, we untouchable

Am I wrong, 'cause I wanna get it on, till I die
Am I wrong, 'cause I wanna get it on, till I die
Get it on, till I die, get it on, till I die
Y'all, y'all remember me
At the way you'll die

Am I wrong, 'cause I wanna get it on, till I die
Am I wrong, 'cause I wanna get it on, till I die
Get it on, till I die, get it on, till I die
Y'all, y'all remember me
Expect me like you expect Jesus to come back
Expect me nigga, I'm comin'

Who Did That to You

(John Legend)

Now I'm not afraid to do the lord's work
You say vengeance is his, but imma do it first
I'm gonna handle my business in the name of the law

Now if he made you cry, oh, I gotta know
If he's not ready to die, he best prepare for it
My judgement's divine, I tell you who you can call
You can call

You better call the police, call the coroner
Call up your priest, have it for you
Walk in no peace when I find that fool
Who did that to you, yeah
Who did that to you, my baby
Who did that to you
Gotta find that fool who did that to you

Now I don't take pleasure in the man's pain
But my wrath will come down like the cold rain
And there won't be no shelter, no place you can go
So put your hands up, time for surrender
I'm a vigilante, my law's defender
You're a wanted man, here everybody knows.

You better call the police, call the coroner
Call up your priest, have it for you
Walk in no peace when I find that fool
Who did that to you
Who did that to you, my baby
Who did that to you
Gotta find that fool who did that to you

Now he'll keep on running, but I'm closing near
I'll hunt him down until the bitter end
If you see me coming near who you gonna call

You better call the police, call the coroner
Call up your priest, have it for you
Walk in no peace when I find that fool

You better call the doctor, call the lawyer
I chase ‘em all away to california
Get my best trying to find that fool
Who did that to you

Too Old to Die Young

 (Brother Dege)

Round and round
Round we go
Where it stops
Nobody knows it

Side to side, baby
Back and forth
God above
And the devil below him

You got your reasons
And I got my wants
Still got that feeling
But I'm too old to die young now
Too old to die young now
Above or below the ground
Yes too old to die young now
Still the good lord might lay me down

Round and round
Round we go
Where it stops
Nobody knows it

Side to side, baby
Down and cold
God above
And the devil below him

You got your reasons
And I got my wants
Still got that feeling
But I'm too old to die young now
Too old to die young now
Above or below the ground
Yes too old to die young now
Still the good lord might lay me down
To lay me down
To, to, to die young now
Too old to die young now
Above or below the ground
Still the good lord might lay me down

Stephen the Poker Player

(Dialogue : Samuel L. Jackson)

Stephen:
I bet you and that German
Thought y'all was on easy street didn't you?
Tracks Hildi to ??
You get the idea to go to Greenville - look up well.
That was a good idea
I bet y'all couldn't believe how easy it was
You meet Moguy, he buys your horseshit
Ya' git your ass invited to Candyland
No fuss no muss
And you ride the whole way out to the plantation
And no one the wiser
Then ya' ride in to Candyland
Ride your goddamn horses right up to the motherfucking Big House
And that's where you met me
And that's when you knew your goose was cooked

Six Shots Two Guns

(Dialogue : Samuel L. Jackson & Jamie Foxx)

Stephen:
I count six shots, nigger

Django:
I count two guns, nigger

Trinity (Titoli)

(Annibale E I Cantori Moderni)

He's the guy who's the talk of the town with the restless gun
Don't shoot broad out to fool him around
Keeps the varmints on the run, boy
Keeps the varmints on the run

You may think he's a sleepy tired guy, always takes his time
Sure I know you'll be changing your mind
When you've seen him use a gun, boy
When you've seen him use a gun

He's the top of the West
Always cool, he's the best
He keeps alive with his colt forty five

You weren't glad at your fooling him around
When you've seen him use a gun, boy
When you've seen him use a gun

He's the top of the West
Always cool, he's the best
He keeps alive with his colt forty five

Who's the guy who's riding into town in the prairie sun
You weren't glad at your fooling him around
When you've seen him use a gun, boy
When you've seen him use his gun

Ode To Django (The D Is Silent)

 (RZA)

[Intro: samples]
"Mr. Wilson!"
"Good morning innkeeper! Two beers for two weary travelers"
"I love you Django"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, what the hell you think you doing, boy?"
"I love you Django"
"Get that nigger out of here!"
"Where life has little value, prepare the death"
"I love you Django"
"Another day, another death"
"I love you Django"
"Another dollar"

He who go through snow, rain, mountain or ice
Nothing can block ya, this path of vengeance
There's no repenting, he came to deliver
Out the death sentence, on enemies
Blood stains on the cotton field by the cotton mill
Cold steel keep the body hot, they rot in hell
36 lashes on his back, left gashes
Every crack of the whip, he got mental flashes
They interrupt his baby making, and his lady's taken
To a far off place, more north and more forsaken
Lord help these fools, they be dead man
Bout to put a third hole in their Klan headbands
The good Dr. Schultz check their dental records
The slug make his whole mug disconnected
They learn to shoot, doing the dead man tango
He's wild like a wild durango
But the D is silent, Django

[samples]
"Django, I think you should make a last request"
"I'm going to find you anyway I can"
"They praying to kill, I don't mind"
"It's a smart thing to do when you know that death is coming for you"
"How come you haven't got your burial suit with you?"
"We'll have to leave you to the vultures"

He get Cash Rule to blast you
Tie you up, have you hung from his lasso
And drag you through the valley of death like ruined cattle
The D is silent, hear the noise from his barrel
Learned to shoot and do the dead man tango
Wild like a durango, but the D is silent, Django
Tie you up, have you hung from the lasso
Give him a gun, and he gets paid just to blast you
Drag you through the valley of death, like ruined cattle
The D is silent, hear the noise from the barrel
And whistle of the song, like a fucking carol
In the eyes of the sparrow
Every father would love to overthrow a tyrant
It's a simple science, Jack overthrows the giant
Neither snow, rain, mountain or ice can block my path of vengeance
There's no repenting, I'm giving you the death sentence
Blood stains on the cotton field, in the cotton mill
Cold steel heat your body up, may you rot in hell
36 lashes, on my back, left gashes
For every crack of the whip, I felt mental flashes
Interrupt my baby making, have my ladies taken
To a place far up north and more forsaken
Lord, help this fool he's a dead man
Bout to put another hole in his Klan headband
The good Dr. Schultz check the dental records
The slug'll make his whole mug disconnected
I learnt to shoot the dead man with a tango

[samples]
"Yeah, his name is Django"
"I love you Django"
"Django, I think you should make a last request"
"I love you Django"
"I'll be glad to oblige you, anyway I can"
"You can start praying if you like, I don't mind"
"It's a smart thing to do when you know that death is coming for you"
"I love you Django"
"How come you haven't got your burial suit with ya"
"We'll have you leave you to the vultures"
"I love you Django"
"Where life has little value, prepare the death"
"I love you Django"

Major Warren Meet Daisy Domergue

(Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kurt Russell and Samuel L. Jackson)

John Ruth :
You don't know nothin' about this filly here

Maj. Warren :
Nope

John Ruth :
Don't even know your name

Maj. Warren :
Nope

John Ruth :
Well I guess that makes this one fortuitous wagon

Maj. Warren :
I sure as hell hope so

John Ruth :
Major Marquis Warren, this here is Daisy Domergue
Domergue, to you, this is Major Warren

Domergue :
Howdy nigger!

John Ruth :
She's a pepper, ain't she?
Now girl, don't you know darkee's don't like bein' called niggers no more
They find it offensive

Domergue :
I been called worse

John Ruth :
Now that I can believe

Apple Blossom

(The White Stripes)

Hey, little apple blossom
What seems to be the problem
All the ones you tell your troubles to
They don't really care for you

Come and tell me what you're thinking
'Cause just when the boat is sinking
A little light is blinking
And I will come and rescue you

Lots of girls walk around in tears
But that's not for you
You've been looking all around for years
For someone to tell your troubles to

Come and sit with me and talk a while
Let me see your pretty little smile
Put your troubles in a little pile
And I will sort 'em out for you
Alright

Lots of girls walk around in tears
But that's not for you
You've been looking all around for years
For someone to tell your troubles to

Come and sit with me and talk a while
Let me see your pretty little smile
Put your troubles in a little pile
And I will sort 'em out for you

I'll fall in love with you
I think I'll marry you

Frontier Justice

(Tim Roth and Kurt Russell)

Oswaldo :
Now, you're wanted for murder
For the sake of my analogy, let's just assume that you did it
John Ruth wants to take you back to Red Rock to stand trail for murder
And, if you're found guilty
The people of Red Rock will hang you in the town square
And as the hangman, I will perform the execution
And if all those things end up taking place
That's what civilized society calls " Justice"
However, if the relatives and the loved ones of the person you murdered
Were outside that door right now and after busting down that door
They drug you out in the snow and hung you up by the neck
That, we would be frontier justice
Now the good part about frontier justice is
It's very thirsty quenching
The bad part is it's apt to be wrong as right

Jon Ruth :
Not in your case
In your case, you'd have it comin'
But other people, maybe not so much

Oswaldo :
But ultimately what's the real difference between the two
The reel difference is me... The Hangman
To me, it doesn't matter what you did
When I hang you, I will get no satisfaction from your death
It's my job
I hang you in Red Rock, I move on to the next town
I hang someone else there
The man who pulls the lever
That breaks your neck will be dispassioned man
And that dispassion is the very essence of justice
For justice delivered without dispassion
Is always in danger of not being justice

This Here Is Daisy Domergue

(Kurt Russell and Michael Madsen)

John Ruth :
This here is Daisy Domergue
She's wanted dead or alive for murder
Ten thousand dollars
That money is mine boys
Don't wanna share it
I ain't gonna lose it

When the sun comes out
I'm taking this woman into Red Rock, to hang
Now, is anybody here comitted to stopping me from doing that
Really? Nobody gotta' problem whit this?
Well, I guess that's very fortunate for me
However, I hope you all understand
I can't just take your word
Circumstances force me to, take... precautions

Joe Gage :
When you say precautions...
Why do I feel you mean me?

Son of the Bloody Nigger Killer of Baton Rouge

(Samuel L. Jackson, Walton Goggins and Bruce Dern)

Major Marquis Warren :
He came up here to do a little nigger head hunting.
By then the reward was five thousand and bragging rights.
But back then to battle hard rebs,
Five thousand to cut off a nigger's head, now that's good money.
So the Johnny's climbed this mountain, looking for fortune.
But there was no fortune to be found. All they found was me.
All them fellas came up here sang a different tune,
When they found themselves at the mercy of a nigger's gun.
"Let's just forget it. I go my way, you go yours".
That's your boy Chester talking

General Sandy Smithers :
You a Goddamn liar.

Major Marquis Warren :
"If you just let me go home to my family, I'll swear,
I'll never set foot in Wyoming again."
That's what they all said.
Begging for his life.
Your boy told me his whole life story.
And you was in that story, General.
And when I knew me I had the son of the bloody nigger killer of Baton Rouge
I knew me I was gonna have some fun

Jim Jones at Botany Bay

(Jennifer Jason Leigh feat. Kurt Russell)

Listen for a moment lads and hear me tell my tale
How o'er the sea from England shore I was condemned to sail
The jury found me guilty sir and said the judge, said he
"For life Jim Jones I sentence you across the stormy sea"

But take my tip before you ship to join the iron gang
Don't be too gay in Botany Bay or else you'll surely hang
"Or else you'll surely hang" says he "and after that Jim Jones
High up, high up upon, high
High up upon the gallows tree the crows will pick your bones"

You'll have no chance for mischief there remember what I say
They'll flog the poaching out of you out there at Botany Bay
The waves were high upon the sea, the wind approached in gales
I'd rather drowned in misery than come to New South Wales

The waves were high upon the sea when the pirates came along
But the soldiers on our convict ship were full five hundred strong
They opened fire and somehow drove that pirate ship away
I'd rather joined that pirate ship than gone to Botany Bay

And one dark night, when everything is quiet in the town
I'll kill you bastards one and all I'll gun the floggers down
I'll give them a little shot, remember what I say
They'll yet regret they sent Jim Jones in chains to Botany Bay

John 'The Hangman' Ruth: That's the one you like to sing in the stagecoach, huh?
Daisy Domergue: Yeah.
John 'The Hangman' Ruth: It's kind of pretty. Got another verse to it?
John 'The Hangman' Ruth: Well, go ahead. Sing it.
Daisy Domergue: Whatever you say, John.

Now day and night, the irons clang and like poor galley slaves
Toil and toil and when we die must fill dishonored graves
By and by I'll break my chains and to the bush I'll go
And you'll be dead behind me, John, when I get to Mexico

John 'The Hangman' Ruth: Give me that guitar!
John 'The Hangman' Ruth: Music time's over!

Uncle Charlie's Stew

(Samuel L. Jackson, Demián Bichir and Walton Goggins)

Major Marquis Warren:
But it's the stew that's got me thinking
How long you say minnie been gone? A week?

Bob:
Si.

Major Marquis Warren:
You see, my mama used to make stew.
And it always tasted the same, no matter the meat.
And there was another fellow on the plantation, uncle charley.
He made stew too and like my mama.
I ate his stew from the time I was a whipper
To I was a full grown man.
And no matter the meat,
It always tasted like uncle charly's stew.
Now I ain't had minnie's stew in six months,
So I ain't no expert, but that, damn sure is minnie's stew.
So if minnie's on the north side visiting her mama for a week,
How'd she make the stew this morning?
And this? This... is sweet Dave's chair.
When I sat in it earlier, I couldn't believe it.
Nobody sits in sweet Dave's chair.
This may be minnie's place, but this is damn sure, sweet Dave's chair.
And if he went to the north side,
I'm pretty goddamn sure that chair's be going with him.

Sheriff Chris Mannix:
What's in the chair?

Major Marquis Warren:
Just what I thought.
Sweet Dave's goddamn blood

The Suggestive Oswaldo Mobray

(Tim Roth, Walton Goggins and Kurt Russell)

Oswaldo:
Gentlemen, gentlemen, I know Americans aren't apt
To let a little thing like an unconditional surrender
Get in the way of a good war.
But I strongly suggest we don't restage the battle of Baton Rouge,
During a blizzard in minnie's haberdashery.
Now, my nubian friend, while I realize passions are high,
That was a while ago.
And if you shoot this un-armed old man
I guarantee I will hang you by the neck until you are dead.
Once we arrive in red rock.

Chris Mannix:
I damn will guarantee that too.

John Ruth:
Yeah Warren, that's the problem with old men.
You can kick 'em down the stairs and say it's a accident,
But you can't just shoot 'em.

Now You're All Alone

(from The Last House on the Left - 1972 / David Hess)

Now you're all alone
Feeling like nobody wants you
And you're looking for someone to hold your hand
Someone who understands

Now you're all by yourself
And you're feeling the world closing on you
And you're asking for someone
To show they care
Someone

Daisy's Speech

(Walton Goggins, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Michael Madsen)

Sheriff Chris Mannix:
Remind me, why we wouldn't just kill all y'all and cash in?

Daisy Domergue:
Oh, you can kill us all.
But you'll never spend a cent of that bounty money
And you'll never leave this mountain alive.
'Cause when that snow melts, the rest of Jody's gang
All fifteen of 'em that were waiting, in red rock are comin' here.
Now let, let's say you shoot us all...
If you really want all that domergue gang bounty money,
You still got to get all our corpses into red rock.
And that ain't gonna' be so easy.
'Cause I doubt you can drive a four horse team.
And that wagon out there is too heavy for a two horse team.
So that means you're gonna have to lead a string of horses into red rock
And with that deep snow after a blizzard,
You ain't gonna be able to get away with any more then let's say one body per horse
So that's you, leading a string of four horses into red rock,
And with all them horses, in that snow, and you all by your lonesome,
You're gonna be a mite poky.
And you gonna' run smack dab into the domergue gang and agin grouch,
How many is that?

Joe Gage:
Fifteen killer strong.

Daisy Domergue:
And when those fifteen killers, come across you
In possession of all of our dead bodies
They ain't just gonna' kill you and that nigger
They're gonna go back to red rock and kill every son of a bitch in that town.
You really the sheriff of red rock?
You wanna save the town?
Then shoot that nigger dead!

La lettera di Lincoln (The Lincoln Letter)

(Ennio Morricone and Walton Goggins)

Dear marquis
I hope this letter finds you
In good health and stat

Altough I whish there were more hours in the day
Is just so much to do
Time's changing slowly
But surely
And it's men like you that will make a difference
Your military success was a credit
Not only to you
But your race aswell
I'm very proud everytime I hear new of you
We still have a long way to go
But hand in hand
I know we'll get there
I just want to let you know
You're in my thoughts
Hopefully our paths will cross in the future
Until then
I remain your friend
Ole' Mary Todd's calling
So I guess it must be time for bed

Respectfully
Abraham Lincoln

There Won't Be Many Coming Home

(Roy Orbison)

Listen all you people
Try and understand
You may be a soldier
Woman, child or man

But there won't be many coming home
No, there won't be many coming home
Oh, there won't be many
Maybe ten out of twenty
But there won't be many coming home

Now the old folks will remember
On that dark and dismal day
How their hearts were choked with pride
As their children marched away

Now the glory is all gone
They are left alone

And there won't be many coming home
No, there won't be many coming home
Oh, there won't be many
Maybe five out of twenty
But there won't be many coming home

Look real closely at the soldier
Coming at you through the haze
He may be the younger brother who ran away
And before you kill another
Listen to what I say

Oh, there won't be many coming home
Oh, there won't be many coming home
Oh, there won't be many
There may not be any
But there won't be many coming home

If they all came back but one
He was still some mother's son
And there won't be many coming home

Oh, there won't be many coming home
Oh, there won't be many coming home
Oh, there won't be many coming home
